Concrete placing in Queenstown

Concrete being placed and levelled between boxing at a new build

If your boxing and steel are already set and you need a crew to place and finish the pour, that is a job on its own and we take it on its own. We turn up with the gear and the hands to get the load off the truck, screeded, floated and finished before it goes off.

Builders, owner builders and other trades book us this way all the time. You keep control of the programme and the prep, and we take the part where the clock is running.

What this covers

  • Placing from the truck, pump or barrow
  • Screeding and levelling to your set levels
  • Power float, broom, exposed and cut finishes
  • Saw cuts and control joints
  • Curing and protection in cold or windy weather
  • Full supply and place if you would rather hand over the lot

Why timing matters more here

A pour in the Wakatipu basin does not behave like a pour at sea level. A cold still morning can hold the slab back for hours, then a nor'wester comes through and takes the surface water off far faster than you want. Getting the finish right is about being set up before the truck arrives and having enough people on the job to work the whole slab at once rather than chasing it.

Concrete placing we have done

Large concrete pad poured inside timber boxing beside a new shed
Freshly poured concrete driveway fenced off with road cones while it cures
Concrete path and apron formed up at a brick new build
