Concrete cutting in Queenstown

Freshly poured concrete driveway fenced off with road cones while it cures

When something has to come out of existing concrete, the cut is what decides how the repair looks. We saw cut slabs, driveways, paths and floors for renovations, new openings, drainage and services, then break out and take away what is no longer needed.

Straight lines, square corners and a tidy site afterwards. If we are pouring the replacement as well, the cut is set out so the new concrete finishes flush with what is staying.

What this covers

  • Saw cutting slabs, driveways, paths and floors
  • Openings for doorways, drains and services
  • Control and expansion joints in new work
  • Breaking out and removing old concrete
  • Cart away and disposal
  • Cutting set out ready for a flush repair pour

Cut to the joint, not just to the damage

A patch that is cut tight around a crack almost always cracks again in the same line. Where it is possible we cut back to an existing joint or a sensible full panel, so the repair reads as a proper panel rather than a scar, and the new concrete has somewhere to move.
